    solitude

i watched the  day break at the beach today. with all thats been going on, i seem to have forgotten the little things. the little things that bring so much peace and joy. the important thing, like being able to appreciate the beauty of an awesome event sunrise.

once i managed to clear the incessant titter of would be fitness enthusiasts, the odd drone of an engine and the cackle of fisherwomen, the traquillity of the event set in. after a night of drinking spurious whisky, what i really needed was some peace. time to reflect and time to just not do anything. even think.

unfotunately, as most people will agree, trying not to think ends up with exactly the opposite result. well any way, every body makes a huge deal about the sunrise being romantic and how 'lovers' (yeuch) cuddle up together and watch it. bull shit. the only way to trully appreciate the moment that the sun climbs over the horizon is alone. its awesome and inspiring. uplifting even.

right will go now. the damn computer screen is making my hangover worse!

you know i have seen so many sunrises and sunsets and fail to see what so romantic aboutthem. yes they are spectacular yes and profound too and wonders that take place everyday day after day and yet manage to make you go Wow each time you see them. but romantic Hello?????? i dont think a sunset is romantic. ahhh it is quite possible now that the beauty of the sunset makes you see things that my other wise be ordinary in  a new glorified light. Enter love i guess. the one emotion that is so highly overrated. and undermined too.i have seen numerous sunsets with hubby in tow as i live quite close to the sea. we have sat arm in arm and watched the sunlight and the funny part is that although we were together we were detached from each other and both of us enjoyed our separate communion with the sunset. yes its truly each ones own experience. I think lover are more interested in the shadows that come with the twilight hahah. may be i will write a poetryon this.

Beaches are a great place to sit and think. Also, they serve as places where you needn't think at all. Just sit and watch the liquid, without thinking anything :)

I haven't been on a beach alone, but I guess it does make for some great reflection. The one time I had to spend time alone with someone of the opposite sex, you've read about I presume, although what didn't happen at the beach was confessed over national SMS, and what was innocent was left innocent, but disastrous nonetheless. Complicated shit, bah.
I can't wait for summer, I love bikinis dammit!

Hmph. You guys should be banned from writing about beaches on the ground that it makes people like me who don't have beaches near them green with envy and a tad jealous.
I like the beach best when it's that dawn-creeping-into-night time. It's sort of hypnotizing.
But 'tis true that the beach is best when you are alone. But it's not all that bad if your matey isn't the jabbering kind when it comes to things like beaches.
    Adieu.
